Job Description

UDR is seeking qualified candidates a I &C Designer   opportunity   to support an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project.

Work Location:  Greenville, SC

I&C Designer-

The I&C Designer will demonstrate subject matter expertise with industrial or nuclear I&C System Design requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to read, interpret and generate design drawings with minimal input from engineering.
• Must have the ability to walk-down field systems with minimal guidance, interpret field direction, generate minor design details, create new drawings, modify existing drawings.
• Direct, check, and approve work done by other Designers.
• Conduct reviews of model using 3D review platform.
• Prepare 3D layouts for conceptual and detailed designs.
• Ability to develop estimates, schedules, staffing requirements, progress reports, key quantities, tracking reports, and project scope of service.

Education:

• Associates degree is preferred, but not required.

Experience:

• A minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience in drafting related to Engineering and Construction (nuclear preferred).
• Must have 3D modeling experience (SmartPlant3D required).
• Highly skilled in computer-aided design (CAD) with demonstrated experience in computer-aided drafting applications to originate and produce drawings and 3D models of moderate to advanced complexity.

Other Job Requirements:

• Must be US Citizen
• Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards applicable to specialized (nuclear or other areas) engineering design.
