The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for an **Overnight Baker I** to join the Culinaryteam\!Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the worldand after a$400M renovation \( expansion,the resort is more stunning than ever\. Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28\-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750rooms,cottages,and villas with65,000 square feetof banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets\. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars,afood truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in\-room dining\. **Classification:** Full\-Time **Shift:** 10pm\- 6amVarious Days - must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays\. **Pay Rate: ** The pay rate for this role is $21\.24 with a $1\.50/ hour differential for overnight hours\. This rateis based on applicable and specialized experience and location\. **_Want to learn more?_** Hotel Website \( \( \( \( **What will I be doing?** As the Overnight Baker at Hotel Del Coronado, you are responsible for operating the baking section of the kitchen while working closely with the Executive Pastry Chef and Sous Chef to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience\. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: + Prepares all food items according to standard recipes and ensuring production requirements are met for all aspects of banquet, outlet desserts, breads and breakfast pastries\. + Monitoring age and condition of all food items to rotate and maintain highest quality\. + Keeps all refrigeration equipment, storage and working areas clean and clutter free, complying with health department regulations **\.** + Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes\. + Prepares and bakes all breakfast pastries, breads, rolls and some desserts for restaurants and banquets\. + Ensures spoilage and waste are kept to a minimum by ordering and utilizing proper quantities and rotating products\. + Ensure excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings + Bring creativity to the pastry offerings + Coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation + Plan production to facilitate daily requirements + County of San Diego Food Handlers Card is required + **Position is for the overnight shift** **What are we looking for?** Since being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry\.
